The delay and crash cost calculator and the funding finder are free resources from Rhythm Engineering, a traffic signal technology company in Lenexa, Kansas. They are part of Rhythm's own marketing: they help traffic engineers put a number on a corridor and see which state, MPO and federal programs can pay for signal work.

The calculator gives a screening estimate from published USDOT, FHWA and state values. It is not a traffic study and not a benefit-cost analysis for a funding application. The method is explained on the calculator page.

The funding finder matches programs by state, agency type and project type with fixed rules. Program facts from public program pages; confirm with the administering agency.
